Producing efficiently in InDesign and Photoshop is paramount to meeting deadlines and gives me the creative ability to make client changes at a moments notice. I’ve been working with Photoshop since version 2.0 and feel this is my strongest application with InDesign a close second.
I fell in love with photography in the late 70’s with my first Kodak Ektralite 110 camera. Since then I have contributed to Getty Images, as well as photographed sports leagues, dance troops and school portraits. Family portraiture, senior photos and weddings are in my wheelhouse along with formal business portraiture with clients such as Sika Corporation, Reece & Nichols and Keller Williams.
I have worked with video since the early 2000’s. Though it’s not my main outlet, I have storyboarded, directed, filmed and edited using various cameras over the years. Currently I work with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition and Media Encoder for podcasts, intros & outros, music videos, bumpers and motion graphics for titles when needed.
Moving to a home based business in January of 2022 has been a great journey. Finding rhythm at a home office and getting production complete has been the greatest challenge but that was easily overcome when I realized just getting out of my pajamas and putting on a pair of jean shorts in the morning starts the day out right.
Working from 1989-1996 in the prepress industry, I witnessed how the Apple computer drastically changed the print and design industry’s workflow. Leaving Graphix Plus as general manager I shifted to Icon Marketing on the Plaza as a production artist until the job at Connection Point Church presented itself. I ran the printshop and was the graphic designer for over 23 years.
